STEP participants took part in creating a gratitude board which is just like a vision board that’s all about you, your experiences, and things in your life that make you feel grateful and appreciative! All too often we tend to focus on the negative things in life, and it is not until we pause and take time to appreciate all that we are grateful for and the abundance in our lives that we open our hearts and our minds to live a more fulfilled life.
Interested in making your own gratitude board? Start out by taking a few minutes to make a list of all the things in your life for which you are grateful. You’ll be amazed at how uplifting it is to simply turn your attention to the positive aspects of your life. Consider people in your life ~ things that bring you joy ~ and perhaps some of your favorite possessions or pastimes. Watch your list quickly grow. Do you feel your heart filling with joy yet? Now that you’ve got some ideas, and you’ve shifted into a much more pleasant place, create your board to help you stay focused on the positive. Cut pictures out of magazines, use personal photos, or even draw your pictures. Display it in a prominent place so you can be constantly reminded of all you are grateful for!
